Philatelic offices of the Post Office

In 2016, the French post office set up a national network of sales points within post offices: the philatelic offices. They are the successors of the Philatelic Points and there will be 311 of them by 2020. The staff of these offices can provide information to the public in these spaces dedicated to philately.
It is possible to buy philatelic products that philatelists are not sure to find in normal post offices.

  • These philatelic offices are identified by a display case containing all the issues of the philatelic programme and a specific display.
  • They are supplied with a priority allocation of stamps - including low-issue stamps - to ensure that collectors can always find the full range.
  • They are a privileged link with the Boulazac stamp printing plant, to meet expectations.
  • They have a specific date stamp to cancel mail on request. The visual of the date stamp is displayed on the philatelic windows.
  • The staff at these offices can provide all philatelists with information about the Post Office's issues and subscription possibilities.
